Video is the next swell about to crest on the web. Everyone has a camera these days, either on their phone or as an actual hand-held. Now that Google bought YouTube, everyone can be a director and post his or her work for everyone to see.

The quality of that video is, well, amateur. Here are a few tips, presented as a video production project for you to do with as you like. These tips will help you produce better quality videos that are smaller in file size. Enjoy the show!

Basics:
To make a video, you'll need a camera. I like digital video (DV) cameras for web work since they produce an easier file to manipulate. You'll also need a video capture and edit tool. I have the complete professional version of Adobe® editing software products. If you don't have that kind of coin, Microsoft® was good enough to provide most of us with Windows® Movie Maker. It's very easy to use and can be found under your, "Start" menu, accessories. Don't leave home without your tripod. shaky video is the worst!
